Zen in the Art

Writer Ray Bradbury loves to write, and fortunately he loves to write about writing. His essays are inspiring, recently getting me out to a kitchen in Kerrytown to do 30 minutes of gesture drawing. He suggests a passion and gusto in writing, and that staying true to your deepest loves and hates will get you through a lifetime. In other words, he is suggesting that to be an artist, you must speak as yourself.

Ray is a communicator - he makes his readers feel the same passion that he feels for his own life and art.

  1. Hey Pat,

How are your stories coming along? I'd love to see some storyboards up here soon.

Have you seen this recent version of "Peter and the Wolf"? It won the Academy award for best short animation in 2008. I think you can see it all on youtube, but here's the first part.
