Projected Animation


Tested a projected animation using my $10 Identity object. Unfortunately I only have still images, not video, but this could definitely be something I include in my final time-based project. Serves as good raw material. The animation is an expression of inner turmoil.

Studies for film

Two studies for two film images I plan to shoot - each study focuses on a figure in a certain environment. The first is of a shot of the Catherine St. bus stop in Ann Arbor, meant to represent travel; and the second takes place in Friday discussion section.

Stephen Wilson

Stephen Wilson is a professor at San Francisco State University, and had made interesting work combining artistry and virtual reality. Of particular interest to my IP are projects that use computers to tell a fictional narrative story that is influenced by an audience. In his 1998 installation, Crime-Z-Land, Wilson combines interactivity via computers, with real time statistical information to give the user a sense of the "pulse" of San Francisco crime.
